COVID-19 Protocols for Camp AmeriKids 2022:
Thank you for your patience as we navigate the ongoing pandemic with the most updated safety protocols and guidelines! While we hope to host in-person programming this summer, decisions can change at any time. The safety and well-being of our campers and volunteers is our number one priority!!
In addition to campers, any prospective staff and volunteers must be willing comply with these protocols in order to participate. If you are unable or unwilling to do so, please do not submit an application.

All volunteers, staff and campers who have been approved to receive the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are required to have the Primary COVID Vaccine series boosters are strongly recommended. Everyone must be fully vaccinated to participate in Camp AmeriKids 2022 and any Leader-in-Training activities.

You must provide documentation of your COVID-19 Vaccine(s) to chloe@elm-project.org.
Documentation of your vaccine include:
1) your original vaccine card and/or
2) New York State’s Digital Excelsior Pass Plus on your phone.

Self-screen for the presence of symptoms is required starting one week (starting Sunday, August 7th) before arrival.
Symptoms can include: fever of 100.4 °F or greater, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, vomiting, etc.
Notify office staff ASAP if you have been in close contact with a person who has been diagnosed with, tested for, or quarantined as a result of COVID-19 within one week of arrival.

You must provide proof of your negative COVID PCR (a Rapid test does not count) test before onsite arrival.

Upon arrival at the busses on August 14th, you will be required to take COVID Rapid tests which will be provided by The ELM Project.

All staff, volunteers and campers must be willing to comply with NY State and Camp AmeriKids COVID Protocols and Guidelines.
Wear a high-quality mask in all public indoor settings and around crowds outside; and during all scenarios dictated by The ELM Project.
Stay up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters.
Get tested at the first sign of symptoms.
Test before and after travel or gatherings, or if you were recently exposed to someone who has COVID-19.
Stay home if sick.
Wash your hands.
Isolation and Quarantine as dictated by NY State of Health.
